Lori’s Poodle Patch Puppy Policies, Pricing and Contract Agreement

Thank you for your interest in a quality home raised, tiny toy or teacup poodle puppy! Please read the following guidelines and policies regarding Lori’s Poodle Patch puppies.

To request more information or place an order, simply contact us via email or phone. If you would like to send a deposit to hold a puppy, send $200 along with a signed copy of the contract agreement found below. The deposit is non-refundable, and will be deducted from the total cost of your puppy. We prefer payment by cashier’s check or money order. We will accept personal checks, but must insist on a 10 to 15 day clearing period. Due to value variables involved, a final sales price cannot be determined for puppies under 10 weeks of age. Both the sales price and shipping costs must be paid in full before we will send the puppy to its new home.

Purchasers often want to know the exact size, color and personality that their new puppy will have as an adult. An estimate can be made based on the size and characteristics of the parents and previous litters, but no claims are made by Lori’s Poodle Patch as to the mature size, color or disposition of it’s puppies. We represent our puppies as pet quality only. Purchaser may choose to show or breed their pet, although fertility and show quality are not guaranteed.

All prospective buyers must read and agree to the following puppy policy before a purchase can be made. This agreement is made for the benefit and protection of both the buyer and seller.

Teacup, Tiny/Toy and Toy poodle puppies are a delicate breed. Their small bones and tiny systems can be easily damaged if the proper precautions are not observed. We breed our poodles in a clean home environment to produce the healthiest puppies possible. However, we do suggest that you take the puppy to a licensed veterinarian within 48 hours of purchase. If the puppy is deemed to be unhealthy, unfit or unsound in any way, the buyer has the option of receiving a refund of the full purchase price or replacement with another puppy of comparable value. (The seller reserves the right to postpone the replacement of a puppy for any reason.) The puppy must be returned within 72 hours of purchase at buyer’s expense and must be accompanied by all paperwork supplied by seller at time of sale, as well as a written statement from the veterinarian clearly stating congenital defect. If purchaser opts to treat the puppy instead of making an exchange or refund, seller is not responsible for any expenses incurred or for the possible death of the puppy. No future refunds or replacements will be made, nor will any credits be issued. All sales are final, and puppies that have been injured after purchase are not guaranteed.

We guarantee all of our puppies for one year against heart, liver and kidney congenital birth defects. If congenital defect does occur, the buyer must return the puppy along with a letter from two licensed veterinarians, from two different places of business, stating the type of condition or illness that puppy is exhibiting. A replacement puppy of the same value will be provided. No cash refunds will be given. If the buyer prefers a more valuable puppy, they are responsible for the difference. Should the puppy die within it’s first year and the cause is unknown, an autopsy must be performed by a licensed veterinarian to determine eligibility. A copy of the report must be sent to the seller contributing death to disease of the heart, liver, or kidneys before a replacement will be given. All above-mentioned expenses are the buyer’s responsibility, including the shipment of a replacement puppy.

All poodle puppies can experience stress during the transition to a new home, change of diet, or excessive handling. Continued stress can result in problems such as worms, ear mites, or Coccidiosis. Hypoglycemia is a serious health condition that can result in seizures and death. It is important that you monitor your new puppy closely to avoid continued stress. Puppies are also affected by drafts and cold temperatures, and may be susceptible to colds, pneumonia, and other infections associated with their environment. All of the above-mentioned conditions are treatable and do not warrant a return or exchange of said puppy. Although poodles are a delicate breed, with tender loving care your new poodle should provide your family with years of companionship.

We can ship your new puppy, but availability is based on the weather. The animal transport guidelines for most airlines dictate that the temperature must be between 35 and 85 degrees for safe handling. Shipping costs will vary based on the airline and destination, and are not included in the price of the puppy. The required health certificate and proper crate will be provided by Lori’s Poodle Patch. Any puppy being shipped to its new home must pass a veterinarian’s health assessment. Lori’s Poodle Patch cannot be held liable for illness or injury which may occur en route.
